The Second Saturday Community Market (SSCM) is a monthly festival held the second Saturdays of May through September in the Meadville Market House Plaza. Magic Steve (Steve Bennet) has performed at all SSCM’s to date, never failing to have a long line of excited children waiting for their chance to have one of their own amazing balloon creations. What had originally begun as a one time feature at the SSCM in May 2011 Magic Steve quickly turned into a must have aspect becoming perhaps the most highly anticipated SSCM feature for children. Magic Steve leaves a wake of laughing and playing children everywhere he goes.

I have known Steve for several years and have seen him perform as “Magic Steve” for the 2nd Saturday Community Market events and other community shows. Additionally I have watched Steve act in local community plays. In whatever medium, Steve has brought a smile to my face and gave me much pleasure, particularly as he relates to children.
For this reason, when our bank was approached to be a sponsor for the 2012 2nd Saturday Community Market, I felt that we should back the performances of “Magic Steve.” He is an outstanding performer who relates well to youth.

Magic Steve was a great addition to our 7th Annual Homegrown Harvest Festival.
Steve set up near our kids’ activities tent, and was busy making balloon sculptures until well after his scheduled time was up.
Many happy children walked away with amazing balloon hats, animals and other great sculptures, and parents enjoyed watching the magic unfold.
We heard many compliments about Steve throughout the day, and look forward to working with him in the future.

Magic Steve has been entertaining children and families on our farm for the past three years. He has an energetic and extremely outgoing personality that naturally attracts audiences to him. He performs magic tricks as well as creating fun, unique and innovative balloon sculptures right before your very eyes. We hired Magic Steve for a birthday party for our two children (ages 5 and 7). He put on a high energy show that held the attention of 30 kids for a solid hour. His balloon animals were spectacular. His magic was enough to make them wonder, but not so sophisticated as to lose their focus. His interaction with the children was impressive and you can see that he truly loves his job. We would definitely hire him again!
